Our client, a prominent Indian investor, was looking for a timber glazing solution for his 5,000 sq ft farmhouse situated on a four acre plot of land overlooking the scenic hills off Matheran. The owner and his family extensively use their four bedroom, luxury weekend home with large entertaining areas including a swimming pool.
The client was also looking for a high performance material to match the demanding tropical climate and air tightness due to the high wind velocity during the monsoon season.
Our solution included a combination of fixed, casement and sliding windows and doors on two floors including a large curtain wall facade in the main living room overlooking a small man-made water body. It would have been challenging to install these windows during the monsoon, but for the pre-engineered RitikaaWood solutions which were fixed in a matter of hours over several days.
RitikaaWood windows were a perfect complement to the natural forest environments surrounding the farmhouse and have already contributed to enhancing the appeal and value of this modern get-away. The customer was a long-term client and although he originally started with uPVC windows, he was astonished by the superior aesthetics and performance of RitikaaWood products using Accoya.
"Dimensional stability, water and termite resistance were the key factors in choosing RitikaaWood products for my farmhouse in Panvel." - Bipin Sagar, Client
